Assignments

The objective of the assignment was to create icons that relate to the icons we see everyday in life.  I created a coffee cup, a cupcake that stands for a bakery and and nail polish that stands for a salon.
For this assignment, we had to create a color wheel made out of two design that complement each other.. and work together visually. We used the primary, secondary, and tertiary colors. The main goal of this assignment was to master the color wheel and know which colors work together and which ones don't.
This assignment was titles If I Crossed the Road...We mimicked the style of Stephen Kroninger in his book. We "cut" images using layer masks and layered them together. We used his style that includes hard edges, proportion, scale, and color.

The objective of the assignment was to create vector-based graphics by tracing textures with the pen tool.  For the second row, we had to choose textures they showed negative and positive space, or contrasted black and  white. For the last row, we emphasized on value and added a little grey in. I created a cow design, fleur de lis design, a floral design, houndstooth, a star, a leaf deign, arched, and a swirl design.

In this assignment, we were supposed to mimic Andy Warhol's work with pop art. We manipulated the photo so that it only is made up of black and white, deleted the white and put a color in place of the white. we used the following color schemes: monochromatic, complementary, analogous, and split complementary.
In this assignment, we created a photo Mosaic. We got a big image and laid smaller images over it. that represented the tiles. The small tiles were repeated all over the large image just in different patterns.
